Warranty & Repair Services
MEI prides itself on a quality product arriving to you. We stand behind our materials and workmanship. Please see our warranty and repair services.
Warranty: MEI provides a two (2) year warranty on materials and workmanship to be free of factory defects on the SafeGuards® line of spill containment products!
Repair Services: MEI offers both Field Repair Kits and Factory Repair Refurbishment Services to extend the life of your investment. Although, the SafeGuards® line of products are designed and fabricated using some of the most durable materials on the market today, sometimes damages occur due to excessive wear and tear and/or accidental abuse. Often, repairs can be made to the SafeGuards® containment at a fraction of the cost of purchasing a new unit! Field Repair Kits are available for smaller, simple repairs in the field. If a more extensive repair is required, we offer an in-house repair service. Simply contact us for a Return Materials Authorization number and send it back to us. We will contact you with an estimated cost to repair it. Please call us for more details!

The information above is the result of laboratory tests and is intended only as a guide. No performance warranty is intended or implied. Exposure time, temperature and size of the area of exposure usually varies considerably in application; therefore, this table is given and accepted at the user's risk. We suggest that a material sample undergo testing in simulated conditions prior to actual service application.
The shown ratings are based upon visual and physical examination of samples after removal from the test chemical after 28 days of immersion at room temperature. Results represent ability of material to retain its performance properties when in contact with the indicated chemical. We believe that the table above provides the best available information. We make no guarantee of results and assume no obligation or liability in connection with this information.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How do I determine what size berm to order?
- Measure the overall footprint (length and width) of the container or equipment you wish to contain.
- Add an additional 4' to the berm's length and 4' to the berm's width.
- Determine the Capacity/Gallons of fluid you need to contain. (A berm with a 1' wall will contain 7.48 gals/sq ft. (Don't forget to allow for displacement of the object you are trying to contain). Allowing 110% containment is usually sufficient.
Example: I have a 3000 gallon tanker truck to contain that measures 36' long by 8' wide.
L + 4 x W + 4 = total square feet of berm
36 + 4 x 8 + 4 = total square feet of berm
40' long x 12' wide = 480 square feet
480 square feet x 7.48 gals/sqft = 3,590 gallon capacity
(Note: the capacity is more than sufficient to contain my 3000 gallon tanker truck and allow for displacement)
I would place my order for a: 12' wide x 40' long x 1' tall berm
If you have questions, one of our friendly representatives will be glad to assist you!
How do I determine which material option (PolyChem 3, PolyChem 4, or PolyChem 5) is right for me?
Please review the descriptions for each of the three material options listed below. If you still have questions, please contact one of our representatives.
PolyChem 3 is a standard duty 30 oz. material and should be used for containment applications of hydrocarbon, mild acids and caustics. Suitable for weekly vehicle entry and exit in conjunction with our Tough Guards matting.
PolyChem 4 is a heavy duty 46 oz. material that provides spill containment protection when containing acids, hydrocarbons, and other caustic chemicals. Suitable for daily vehicle entry and exit in conjunction with our Tough Guards matting.
PolyChem 5 is our premier geo-membrane material. It's 32 oz. polyurethane coated nylon material and should be used for hydrocarbon application containment. Suitable for daily vehicle entry and exit in conjunction with our Tough Guards matting.
What is your return policy?
Any unused standard size products can be returned with written approval from MEI for a 15% Restocking Fee. Any custom sized product cannot be returned unless a manufacturer's defect in materials or workmanship is identified.
How can I change or cancel my order?
It is very important to call us right away if you need to change or cancel your order as your order is processed as soon as we receive it. Changes may be made up to 48 hours after your order is placed. Cancellations may be subject to a 15% restocking fee.
Where can I find Material Safety Data Sheets?
Material Safety Data Sheets can be found under material specifications by going to our home page and clicking on the resources tab.
How do I find a Product?
Finding a product is easy. If you know your Product/Item # simply type it into the search box at the top of our home page. The search box can also be used if you know the product name. If you are still unable to find the product you desire, simply give us a call at 877-816-9716 or email us at info@millent.com and one of our representatives will be glad to help you!
How long does it take to receive my order once placed online?
